The Rowlett K-Kids group is an after-school community service organization sponsored by the Manatee Sunrise Kiwanis. The group is comprised of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students, which meet once a week. Some of our most recent projects include packaging meals for those less fortunate with the Kids Against Hunger organization, fundraising for cancer patients with both The Payton Wright Foundation and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (Pennies for Patients), cleaning up trash around campus and in the surrounding neighborhood, visiting assisted living facilities, along with numerous other school and community service projects. K-Kids is focused around leadership and developing positive character traits in our students. Officers are elected and formal meeting protocol is practiced.
