The Visual Arts program at Rowlett Academy gives students the opportunity to explore a variety of media, processes, and actual art forms. Students will be thinking, planning, and creating. With an emphasis on “Best Work,” students are encouraged to try something new, spend time extending a project, and take pride in their finished work.
Students will have the opportunity to experience real-world art through computer graphics, stage, and set designs, art exhibits, and portfolio work. Students will notice that the integration of math, science, and literature often plays an important role in art; thus using all learning modes to make a well-rounded individual.
Tools include drawing pencils, colored pencils, markers, watercolors, tempera and acrylic paints, pastels, and clay. In the studio we aim for Brilliance, and many of these brilliant pieces of art are on display throughout the campus on a rotation basis. Please enjoy the display.
