About Mrs. Daugherty
I was born and raised in beautiful southwest Florida, and love all that it has to offer! When I’m not teaching, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. My husband, Tyler, and I have three beautiful children. My daughter Bella is in 9th grade, Dahlia is in 3rd grade, and my little dude, Jasper is in 1st grade. We have two Chocolate Labs, a cat, some fish, and a whole lot of crazy! Needless to say, there is never a dull moment at our house!
One of my favorite things to do is spend time on the water. We spend a lot of time at the beach, going boating, fishing/lobstering/scalloping, or lounging at the pool. To me, there is nothing better than being on the water! I also enjoy traveling and am not picky about the destination!
I earned my B.A. degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa and my M.A. in Teaching from USF in Sarasota. I have ESOL, Gifted, and Middle School Social Studies endorsements. This is my eleventh year of teaching. I worked in Sarasota County for four years teaching 4th grade. I have spent the past seven years as part of the Rowlett family on the 4/5 loop.
